About the Role

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Perform manual and automated diagnostic testing
  • Specimen storage and retrieval
  • Equipment maintenance and operation
  • Maintenance of records
  • Assist with stock control
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skill including:

  • A Certificate or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent Associate degree
  • An understanding of urine drug testing to AS/NZS 4308:2023 and oral fluid testing to AS/NZS 4760:2019
  • Experience in a Pathology Laboratory, particularly within a Toxicology or Biochemistry Department
  • A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
  • Must be a cohesive and contributing member of the team and display positive attitudes towards achieving outcomes
  • Strong time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety and quality assurance processes and procedures
  • Previous Pathology Laboratory experience is desirable, but not essential
