About the Roles

We currently have opportunities for both FIFO Pilbara-based and Perth-based HD Fitters.

Pilbara FIFO Roles:

  • $95/hr + super
  • Field Service and Rostered site-based positions
  • Rosters: 8/6:7/7, 2/2, and ad-hoc shutdowns
  • Fully equipped Dieselmax service utes (Field Service roles)
  • Work with Tier 1 mining clients on long-term projects

Perth-Based Roles:

  • $85/hr + super
  • 7/7 roster – home every night
  • Ideal for experienced fitters seeking steady hours and work/life balance

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy mobile plant and mining equipment
  • Perform scheduled servicing, component change-outs, and breakdown repairs
  • Complete all work safely and to OEM standards
  • Communicate effectively with site teams and Dieselmax management

Skills & Experience

Required:

  • Cert III Heavy Diesel / Plant Mechanic
  • Minimum 3 years post-trade experience
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Valid Australian driver's licence and full Australian working rights
  • Able to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening

Desirable:

  • High Risk (LF, EWP), Working at Heights, Firefighting

  • Experience on OEM equipment such as:

  • Liebherr 996, 9400, 9600

  • Epiroc D65 / PV271

  • CAT Dozers, Loaders, Trucks & Graders

  • Komatsu Trucks & Loaders
