About the role

Demco Elec Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and driven Estimator to join our team working remotely. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success and growth of our construction projects. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to the strategic direction of the company.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify all necessary materials, labour, and subcontractor requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and other stakeholders to refine estimates
  • Maintain and continuously improve the company's estimating database and processes
  • Provide support and guidance to the estimating team to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Assist with the preparation of tenders and proposals

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
  • Experience specifically in electrical and infrastructure construction projects
  • Proven track record of preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, labour, and subcontractor costs
  • Proficient in the use of estimating software and related technologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Australian work rights are required for this position
