The Role

As a key member of our team, you will play an integral role in our tendering process, from pricing to contract negotiations and submission. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse, high-impact projects across Queensland.

This role is open to be based in either one of our Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Cairns, Gold Coast, Toowoomba or Rockhampton offices.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Tender Sourcing & Assessment: Identify and source tenders through various industry channels. Prioritize based on client type, tender complexity, and deadlines.
• Tender Preparation & Submission: Calculate quantities, review contract documents, ensure all client requirements are met, and prepare comprehensive and competitive bids.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project teams and subcontractors to ensure all aspects of the tender are accurately assessed and communicated.
• Client & Supplier Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all tenders comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Documentation Management: Utilize SharePoint and EstimateOne to organize and manage tender documentation, track subcontractor quotes, and ensure all necessary information is captured.
• Post-Tender Communication: Follow up on tenders, respond to clarifications, and assist in contract finalization and project handover.
• Mentorship: Provide support and mentoring to the Cadet Estimator

About You:

• Experience: At least 5 years' experience in estimating within the commercial building and construction sector.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in BuildSoft/Cubit Professional or similar estimating software.
• Attention to Detail: Knowledgeable in estimating practices, project costings, and managing complex tenders.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and interact effectively with clients and teams.
• Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and follow through to completion with excellent attention to detail.
• Motivation: Self-driven, punctual, and eager to contribute to a collaborative and thriving team environment.
• Professionalism: A polished, professional demeanor with a keen focus on delivering quality results.
• License: A valid driver's license is required.
