Lecturer Business/TAE/Finance and Work Health and Safety

North Regional TAFE are seeking to establish an open recruitment pool for delivery of various Business, Finance, TAE and WHS qualifications.
We currently have 1 full-time position for immediate filling at our Karratha or Pundulmurra Campuses.
This pool will be used to appoint suitable applicants as vacancies arise, which may include full-time, part-time, permanent or fixed-term vacancies, with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency.
Here's what you need to know:
- How to apply: You can apply anytime during the open pool period.
- Application reviews: Applications are expected to be assessed every 3 months, but this can vary based on operational needs.
- Pool Selection: Only those applicants who have been assessed as suitable through a merit selection process can be considered for selection to the pool. Appointment from the pool to a vacancy, is not guaranteed.
- Outcome: You will receive advice that you have been recommended for appointment to the pool or that you were unsuccessful for appointment to the pool. If you're not successful, you can request feedback and can reapply in the future.
- Appointments: May be made from this pool until 31 May 2028.
North Regional TAFE reserves the right to extend or cease advertising at any given time in the future.
Relevant Qualifications and Experience
To be eligible for employment, you must have:
- Significant relevant industry/ vocational or lecturing experience (at least 5 years' experience)
- Relevant vocational qualifications and/or competencies at least to the level to be delivered and assessed including:
o BSB20120 Certificate II in Business
o BSB30120 Certificate III in Business
o BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business
o BSB50120 Diploma of Business
o BSB40420 Certificate IV in Human Resource Management
o BSB50320 Diploma of Human Resource Management
o BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management
o BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Manage
o BSB40920 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice
o BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management
o FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping
o FNS30322 Certificate III in Accounts Administration
o FNS50222 Diploma of Accounting
o BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
o BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety
o TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
o TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training
There is a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Registration Standards Standards), or its successors. The current minimum qualification required is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110), or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024).
Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are still eligible to apply, however North Regional TAFE will require the successful candidate to be enrolled, and have commenced training in, an approved training and assessment credential and record satisfactory progress to enable the credential to be completed within two years from commencement.

Lecturing staff employed in 2025 are eligible to receive a Temporary Regional Incentive of $15,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at NRTAFE, with the remainder paid on the anniversary of start date. Staff must remain employed in the location for 12 months to be eligible to receive the second payment.
