The Role

We are seeking an experienced Spray Painter with a background in truck body and trailer manufacturing. You will be responsible for preparing, priming, and painting truck bodies, trailers, and components to a high-quality finish that meets Australian standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare truck bodies, trailers, and parts for painting (sanding, masking, priming, etc.)
  • Apply paint and coatings to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Mix and match paints to required specifications
  • Operate and maintain spray guns, booths, and related equipment
  • Ensure work meets safety, compliance, and quality standards
  • Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area

About You

  • Proven experience as a spray painter in truck body, trailer, heavy vehicle, or automotive industries
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, paint products, and application methods
  • Ability to work with 2-pack paints and industrial coatings
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Understanding of OH&S requirements in a workshop environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
