The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our team in Altona North. This key position plays a vital role in managing production scheduling across multiple manufacturing zones, coordinating logistics, and optimising workforce deployment. It is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional looking to step into a more challenging and rewarding role within a stable and respected organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise production schedules across multiple manufacturing zones
  • Coordinate production priorities, logistics, and workforce availability to meet deadlines and efficiency targets
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless workflow
  • Adjust schedules in response to delays, changes in supply, or customer demands
  • Monitor stock levels and material availability
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning and scheduling processes

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in production planning and scheduling
  • Preferably with a background in manufacturing or industrial production environments
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with a methodical, precise approach to planning
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments
  • Proficient with planning and ERP/MRP systems
  • Sound understanding of supply chain coordination and manufacturing workflows
