At Just Better Care, we provide in-home aged care and disability support services across Australia, helping people live independently in their own homes. We are currently seeking Support Workers with a focus on domestic assistance to join our team in Brisbane North.

We are actively recruiting in the following locations:

Ashgrove, Mitchelton, Arana Hills, Chermside, Strathpine, Albany Creek, North Lakes, Redcliffe, Deception Bay, Burpengary, and Caboolture.

About the Role:

As a Domestic Assistance Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting customers with everyday household tasks that help them maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.

This role involves visiting customers in their homes and delivering high-quality, person-centred domestic assistance to promote independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing light household cleaning (e.g. vacuuming, dusting, mopping)
  • Laundry tasks, including washing, folding and ironing
  • Changing bed linen
  • Assisting with meal preparation and basic food handling
  • Supporting customers with grocery shopping and errands (as required)
  • Reporting any concerns regarding the customer's environment or wellbeing
  • Building trusting relationships and promoting independence

What You'll Need:

  • Previous experience in domestic assistance or home care (highly regarded)
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or similar (preferred but not essential)
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check (Yellow Card) and Blue Card
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate (if required)
  • Smartphone with internet access
