
NDIS Support Worker

Superior Home Health Services are seeking qualified, reliable and passionate NDIS Support Worker to join our team for clients in the North Brisbane area. You will need to be friendly, positive, and determined to make a difference. You can demonstrate client-focused behavior, showing empathy, and treating others with dignity and respect. You'll be a natural relationship builder, honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
We are offering casual roles with a view to permanent part-time for suitable candidates.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working within a person-centered, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client;
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties;
- Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support;
- Providing support with social and recreational activities;
- Preparing food, feeding clients, and assisting clients with medications;
- Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client;
- Responding to emergency situations; and
- Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care/Aged Care or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates
- Current unrestricted driver's license
- Medication Assistance (desirable)
- A reliable, well-maintained vehicle
- Comprehensive car insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening including Blue Card (or equivalent)
Preferred Skills
Mental Health qualifications and experience preferred
Experience working with aged clients in a home setting
Experience working with persons living with a disability
Experience working with clients rehabilitating at home after surgery/accident
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $42.00 – $44.00 per hour
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- Working with Children Check (Preferred)
- National Police Certificate (Preferred)
- Driver Licence (Preferred)
