Superior Home Health Services are seeking qualified, reliable and passionate NDIS Support Worker to join our team for clients in the North Brisbane area. We are offering casual roles with a view to permanent part-time for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working within a person-centered, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client;
  • Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties;
  • Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support;
  • Providing support with social and recreational activities;
  • Preparing food, feeding clients, and assisting clients with medications;
  • Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client;
  • Responding to emergency situations; and
  • Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care/Aged Care or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
  • Current National Police Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificates
  • Current unrestricted driver's license
  • Medication Assistance (desirable)
  • A reliable, well-maintained vehicle
  • Comprehensive car insurance
  • NDIS Worker Screening including Blue Card (or equivalent)

Preferred Skills

Mental Health qualifications and experience preferred

Experience working with aged clients in a home setting

Experience working with persons living with a disability

Experience working with clients rehabilitating at home after surgery/accident

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $42.00 – $44.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification (Preferred)
  • Working with Children Check (Preferred)
  • National Police Certificate (Preferred)
  • Driver Licence (Preferred)
