Principal Systems Officer

As a Principal Systems Officer, you will manage Banking, Corporate Card, and Systems Processing functions. Lead cyclical processing activities, exception handling, and master data maintenance in SAP S/4HANA. Drive system and process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance. You will conduct data analysis and produce performance reports across Queensland Health. Lead assurance programs ASAE 3402 testing for Banking and Payments Services team and support audits to validate internal controls and address deficiencies. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders—including Queensland Audit Office, Internal Audit, and Department of Health—to resolve complex issues and support system upgrades and advisory initiatives.
Role fit:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in financial management systems and processes, legislation, policies and practices within the government health sector, and the capacity to interpret such policies and provide authoritative advice within the context of a complex operating environment with competing demands.
- Proven ability to take responsibility and deliver outcomes within complex situations with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to provide direction and leadership regarding system processing functions and services to multi-disciplinary teams, including displaying behaviours that consistently model personal drive, initiative, responsiveness and adaptability to change.
