The Role
BG&E have a dynamic and rapidly growing water infrastructure team, and we're excited to be expanding with the recent award of several key projects. As we continue to evolve, we're looking for passionate Civil Engineers and Designers, with Water Infrastructure experience to join our innovative team. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experienced engineers and scientists to deliver complex and exciting water infrastructure projects and make a real impact on water management and sustainability for private and government sector clients.

This role will include project management and business development functions as required, as well as providing opportunities to progress over time into a more senior role within the business. We have also embraced flexible working including work from home options, staggered start and finish times and additional purchased leave.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver technical civil engineering design and review for a wide range of water infrastructure projects (with a focus on pump station and treatment plant detailed designs) in accordance with statutory requirements and standards
  • Project manage the delivery of projects and ensure output is of a high standard and within time and cost budget allocations, while coordinating with others as needed
  • Collaborate with broader project teams and other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals

About You
You have strong technical knowledge to share with a passionate and driven local and national Water Infrastructure Team and are able to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
  • More than 7 to 15+ years of experience in Civil Engineering in the water infrastructure industry, in consulting practices in Australia
  • Strong client relationship skills
  • MRWA design accreditation is highly desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to produce clear and meaningful reporting for communicating technical outcomes, presentations and client and

stakeholder meetings

  • Experience in major infrastructure projects and experience and/or relationships with relevant State agencies will be favoured
  • A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to get involved, whilst contributing to a vibrant team
