Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Management Director to lead the successful delivery of large-scale energy storage projects across Australia. This is a senior leadership role requiring exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and hands-on delivery experience in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects within energy storage (BESS), EPC, utilities, or PV environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery for utility-scale energy storage systems, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Develop and implement project management frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Drive problem-solving initiatives to address technical and operational challenges during project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

Top Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven Experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years in project management within energy, EPC, or utilities sectors.

  • Practical delivery experience in PV or BESS projects is essential.

  • Problem-Solving Ability:

  • Strong analytical skills to resolve complex technical and operational issues.

  • Leadership & Communication:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Technical Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with energy storage systems, grid integration, and renewable energy technologies.

  • Education:

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
