Chief Information & Technology Officer (CITO)
Brisbane (preferred) / Sydney & Melbourne (considered)
Talent Divers has been exclusively retained by Bolton Clarke to appoint a Chief Information & Technology Officer (CITO).
The Organisation
Bolton Clarke is Australia's largest independent not-for-profit provider of aged care, retirement living, and home & community support. With a proud 140-year history, more than 16,000 employees nationally and services spanning residential, in-home, and retirement communities, Bolton Clarke supports tens of thousands of older Australians every day.
The organisation is values-led and purpose-driven, guided by its core values: Listen, Be Kind, Be Curious. These values underpin Bolton Clarke's commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and innovative care at scale.
Under new CEO leadership and with strong Board support, Bolton Clarke is investing in strengthening its digital, data and technology capabilities to enable national growth, frontline excellence and improved customer outcomes.
The Opportunity
The Chief Information & Technology Officer (CITO) is a newly defined executive leadership role, created following an enterprise IT capability review to provide sharper focus on core IT, data, and integration services.
Reporting initially to the Group CEO, the CITO will provide strategic and operational leadership across:
- Core IT delivery – infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity
- Enterprise applications, data, and analytics
- Systems integration and architectural discipline
- Digital and customer-facing platforms, delivered in partnership with the business
This is a pivotal role shaping technology as a strategic enabler of customer experience, operational excellence and scalable national growth.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven track record as CIO, CITO or equivalent in a complex, multi-site service organisation (health, aged care, NFP, or national service provider desirable).
- A strong track record in transformation, integration and modernisation initiatives
- Credibility with Boards, CEOs, and senior executive teams
- A collaborative leadership style that builds capability, trust, and engaged teams
- Personal alignment to Bolton Clarke's values and purpose-driven mission
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MBA) desirable
- Relevant certifications (COBIT, TOGAF, ITIL, NIST, or equivalent) will be well regarded
Location & Package
· Brisbane is the preferred location reflecting Bolton Clarke's primary IT operations
· Exceptional candidates located in Sydney or Melbourne may be considered, provided they can commit to regular travel to Brisbane
· A competitive executive package is offered, including attractive NFP salary packaging benefits.
· National travel will be required to connect with teams and service streams.
Why Consider This Role?
This is a unique opportunity to join a nationally significant, values-led organisation at a time of transformation. The CITO will play a central role in shaping the future of technology, data and digital enablement across aged care and community services at scale.
