Reporting to the Project Manager (Concrete Remediation Projects), the Metrocorp Site Supervisor (Concrete Remediation) has the overarching responsibility for the personnel and the performance of the crews working under their supervision.

As part of the role you would be responsible for:

  • Leading a work crew during the completion of an assigned project or package of works (shotcrete, high pressure water jetting, concrete repair/patching, installation of protective coatings, concreting, installation of steel work, abrasive blasting, etc.) – You will oversee all associated workers and their duties.
  • Training staff in practical aspects of all works.
  • Managing confined space works and crews.
  • Ensure high level of safety for staff working on your team.
  • Maintaining essential equipment.
  • Empowering, supporting, being respectful, and encouraging your crew to work safely and productively, whilst meeting quality objectives.
  • Acting as the main conduit/communication point between our front-line personnel (workers) and the project management team – you must maintain open and honest communication with your crews, the project manager and Metrocorp management.
  • Acting as a key representative for Metrocorp with our clients – interacting with client representatives onsite.
  • This role remains a working role – meaning that you are required to participate in the practical duties involved with carrying out the daily works to achieve the desired end results.
  • We expect that you take on practical tasks such as confined space entry, completion of workface inspections, practical troubleshooting and problem solving etc. in consultation with your crew.
