About the opportunity
The Management Accountant for Seniors Living plays a critical role in delivering accurate and timely business reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making. This position ensures that all financial processes and procedures align with Mercy Health Group Finance Policies and Procedures, maintaining compliance and integrity across the retirement village portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Reporting: Prepare and deliver timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually), budget(annually) and performance analyses to support operational and strategic planning.
Process Compliance: Ensure financial operations adhere to established policies and procedures, promoting consistency and accountability. This includes ensuring all Ingoing Contribution refunds have occurred in a timely and compliant manner.
Financial Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to the operational management teams of retirement villages, providing insights and guidance to drive financial performance and sustainability.
Assist in delivering messaging & training where required to operational management staff so that there is an understanding of the financial parameters and individual responsibilities in budget management. Assist in the preparation of business cases and financial models for Retirement Villages as required.
Continuous Improvement: Assist in ensuring the continued development and constant review of financial & operational reporting across all levels of Retirement Villages.
What you'll bring
- Not less than 3 years' experience in an accounts or finance role with a proven ability to develop and meet operational and budgetary objectives with a positive 'can-do' approach.
- A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships with operational teams and senior management.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced capabilities in Excel and strong command of Word for documentation and reporting.
- Great attention to details
