The Opportunity

Ignition Source is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from highly accomplished Project Managers to lead a complex, multi-year
HCM transformation
(payroll & HRM) for a
multi-entity South Australian not-for-profit
. You'll own delivery end-to-end, from mobilisation through discovery, configuration, test, integrate, parallel runs, go-live and hypercare, while shaping the program's governance, cadence and culture.

A tier-one cloud HCM platform has been selected (confidential). The
implementation partner is yet to be appointed
, and you may have the ability to influence partner selection and ongoing vendor management.

What you'll do

  • Own delivery
    across a multi-entity HCM program (payroll, core HR, awards/EBAs, time & attendance/rostering, onboarding, performance, etc.).
  • Accelerate program governance
    (PRINCE2/PMBOK), stage gates, RAID, benefits, quality and change control.
  • Lead vendor & partner management
    : support SI procurement/selection, statement of work, commercials and delivery oversight.
  • Plan & execute
    : integrated schedule, budget, resourcing, dependency and environment management.
  • Assure payroll compliance
    : Australian awards/EBAs, NES, Fair Work, STP Phase 2, Superannuation, Portable Long Service Leave (PLSL), and payroll tax.
  • Data & testing leadership
    : migration strategy, SIT/UAT,
    payroll parallel runs
    , cutover and hypercare.
  • Change & adoption
    : partner with HR/Finance leaders on communications, training, super-user model and business readiness.
  • Report with clarity
    to the Program Board and other Executive bodies, enabling informed decisions at pace.

What you bring

Must have

  • 8–10+ years in project management with
    at least two end-to-end
    payroll/HRM/HCM or ERP implementations in complex organisations.
  • Deep understanding of Australian payroll (awards/EBAs, STP2, super, payroll tax) and HR processes.
  • Proven delivery across
    multi-entity
    or multi-site environments.
  • Strong vendor/contract management and executive stakeholder skills.
  • Tools: MS Project (or equivalent), Jira/Confluence, MS Teams, modern collaboration suites.

Desirable

  • Exposure to tier-one cloud HCM suites (eg. Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, TechnologyOne HRP, Dayforce, iChris/Chris21, UKG/Kronos).

  • Certifications/accreditation:
    PRINCE2

    PMBOK-aligned
    , Prosci/Change.
  • Domain exposure to NFP, community services, health or aged care.
