MDE are a Project Management and Civil Engineering consultancy that specialises in the design and delivery of over 55's lifestyle villages. We are based in Lennox Head but have multiple projects along the Queensland and NSW coasts. We are involved in all aspects of these developments from initial concept design right through to project management and completion of the construction phase of works. Our in house designers ensure that our site project team has the ability to make informed decisions in the field quickly and confidently without the need to rely on third party consultants.

About the Role

MDE are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team to assist in the delivery of civil works associated with a 318 dwelling village in Toowoomba. The role will be a mixture of site and office based work, reporting to the Project Manager. The position includes the use of a company supplied vehicle. You role will involve:

  • Contractor management on behalf of the Developer
  • Construction site inspections for civil construction milestones
  • Project programming and reporting of progress and construction budgets
  • Contract management
  • Contract administration including reviewing and responding to contractor RFI's, variation requests and EOT's
  • Collaboration with the building contractor to coordinate delivery of site works to facilitate construction of dwellings

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Current Class C Driver's licence
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in administering and a thorough understanding of General Conditions of Contracts e.g. AS4000
  • RPEQ accreditation desirable
