Estimator – Civil

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator - Civil & Plumbing to join our growing team at PCP Solutions Pty Ltd in Toowoomba, QLD. This full-time position is responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a range of civil and plumbing projects, playing a vital role in our company's success.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for civil and plumbing projects, including materials, labour, equipment and subcontractor costs
• Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documentation to identify and quantify required resources
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to obtain accurate pricing information
• Identify and highlight potential cost savings opportunities
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure estimates align with budgets and timelines
• Maintain detailed records and documentation related to the estimating process
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations and best practices in construction estimating

What we're looking for

• A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is advantageous but not essential
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in the civil construction and/or plumbing industries
• Experience in either civil construction or plumbing is sufficient for this role
• Proficiency in any estimating software is acceptable, with examples including Buildsoft and CostX
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Up-to-date knowledge of construction materials, methods, regulations and industry trends
• Australian work rights required at time of application
