The Mining Act Inspectorate within the Resources Regulator is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join the team as a Senior Compliance Officer until September 2026.
About Us
The Resources Regulator (part of NSW Resources) plays a vital role in ensuring safe, sustainable exploration and mining across the state. We regulate health and safety, mine rehabilitation, and enforce compliance to uphold the integrity of the sector.
About The Role
As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will:
- Undertake a wide range of compliance-related activities including conducting investigations into breaches of the Mining Act, undertaking compliance inspections and audits.
- Provide expert guidance to stakeholders and authorisation holders.
- Prepare reports, briefings, and enforcement documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to drive regulatory outcomes.
This role is pivotal in maintaining the credibility of the Department as an impartial regulator while supporting the growth of NSW's exploration and mining industries.

- Hold and maintain a current Class C driver licence
