The Specialist Outpatient Clinic Administration Officer will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our medical-led clinics. You will provide administrative support to our healthcare professionals and ensure that patients receive timely, efficient, and high-quality care, your responsibilities will include coordinating clinic schedules, handling patients' inquiries, managing documentation, and supporting the day-to-day administrative needs of the clinic. You will be working with clinicians and patients attending Orthopaedic, General Surgical, Cardiac, Endocrinology, Vascular, Rheumatology Clinics and more. You will require a flexibility and may need the ability to work across both Albury and Wodonga campuses as rostered.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing clinic appointments and scheduling, ensuring efficient use of resources and time
Provide front-line support for patients, answering queries, directing them to the appropriate services, and ensuring a welcoming environment
Assist with the preparation of clinic documentation, reports, and correspondence as required
Process patient referrals and follow up on necessary actions or communications
Support healthcare professionals with administrative tasks
Ensure compliance with hospital and clinic protocols
Liaise with other hospital departments and external providers as needed to ensure seamless care coordination
Desirable Requirements:
Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A keen attention to detail and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive and positive approach to problem solving
