About The Role
Our client are a leading manufacturer of precast tilt up panels in Sydney and NSW, based out of Western Sydney. Working on residential and commercial projects the successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all on-site activities related to the delivery and installation of precast panels. You will act as the link between transport coordinator, delivery drivers, crane crews, site supervisors, PM's, engineers and site based trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with transport coordinator, drivers and crane operators to confirm loading order and delivery times.
- Coordinate site setup: Organise laydown/storage area, check ground conditions, barricade lifting zones, arrange access equipment, rigging, bracing and safety gear, ensure all permits, exclusion zones and signage is in place.
- Oversee delivery and storage of panels on site.
- Ensure install, crane and rigging crews are are working to approved plans and confirm panel umbers and orientation before each lift.
- Ensure WHS and environmental compliance on site at all times.
- Record installation progress, QA, variations, toolbox talks, incident reports and site hours
- Conduct daily pre-starts and safety checks on equipment prior to use.
- Liaise with PM's, supervisors and engineers.
- Manage trades to ensure works are completed efficiently, safely, to a high standard and on time.
- Ensure defects and repairs are completed.
- Look for improvements in installation methods and implement where possible.
- Make on the spot decisions and solve problems as they arise.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in high rise residential and commercial projects.
- Previous experience with precast installations, rigging and supervision.
- Excellent communications skills - written and verbal.
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings and lift plans.
- Strong coordination, scheduling and problem solving skills.
- Proficient in using internal software and basic microsoft tools such as word and excel.
- Drivers license.
- Punctual and well presented.
