Cilantro Holdings Pty Ltd t/a Ga Divine in south eastern suburb (Clyde North) is looking for a full-time Chef to join our dynamic team with a dedication to deliver heart-warming Modern Authentic Asian cuisine.

Chef key responsibilities;

  • Prepare and present contemporary-style dishes in accordance with the established menu and culinary standards
  • Collaborate with fellow chefs and the Restaurant Manager on menu planning, development, and seasonal updates
  • Manage the procurement of food, ingredients, and kitchen supplies, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, wait staff, and management regarding food preparation techniques and service expectations

  • Provide hands-on training and demonstrations to kitchen staff on advanced cooking techniques and kitchen best practices

  • Oversee proper food storage, preservation, and stock rotation to maintain freshness and reduce waste
  • Ensure strict adherence to occupational health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
  • Coordinate staff scheduling and rostering to maintain efficient kitchen operations
  • Conduct menu costing and apply menu engineering principles to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Organise and oversee functions, events, and special services, ensuring menu planning and execution align with client expectations
  • Hold client meetings to discuss event requirements, dietary needs, and custom menu options, ensuring a personalised and professional experience

Diploma in Hospitality Management (Commercial Cookery) plus one years experience or three years experience as chef.
