They are now seeking a Communications and Engagement Manager to help strengthen organisational culture, employee engagement and external communications, while supporting their ongoing purpose-driven mission.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief HR Officer, the Communications and Engagement Manager will design and deliver integrated strategies to enhance internal communication, staff engagement and external community partnerships. This role will lead key initiatives that promote transparency, collaboration and alignment with organisational values, while also managing media communications and supporting change programs.

This is a part-time position, offering either 4 days per week or 5 days reduced hours, providing variety, impact and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to a values-led organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver an integrated communication and engagement strategy aligned with organisational purpose and priorities.
  • Design and execute internal communication programs that inform, connect and inspire staff.
  • Partner with leaders to deliver clear, consistent and engaging communication.
  • Drive content creation and campaigns across digital, visual and audiovisual platforms.
  • Lead the coordination of all-employee engagement events and support change communication initiatives.
  • Oversee community partnerships and engagement activities, including school programs and work experience.
  • Develop and manage media communications, including crisis communication planning if required.
  • Evaluate communication initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

About You

You are a communications professional with proven experience in internal engagement, media management and community initiatives. With exceptional writing and presentation skills, you can create impactful messaging, influence stakeholders at all levels and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in internal communications and staff engagement.
  • Strong background in media communication and stakeholder management.
  • Skilled in strategic planning, content development and campaign delivery.
  • Experience with digital tools and platforms.
  • Community engagement or CSR experience is desirable.
