The Role

We are currently seeking experienced Marine Mechanical Fitters to join our team and work with one of our highly respected clients, based in Henderson. As a Marine Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical repairs, overhauls, and maintenance of marine systems and equipment in both workshop and site environments.

This role demands a high standard of workmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict project deadlines. You will be required to perform mechanical fitting, assembly, and disassembly tasks to a high standard, identify and diagnose equipment faults and carry out corrective repairs, and measure, calibrate, and record mechanical dimensions with precision.

About the Role

  • Immediate start
  • Day shifts - Standard hours: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
  • Opportunity to work overtime and earn more income
  • Monday to Friday + Weekend work available
  • Workshop-based role in Henderson

  • Temp to Perm opportunity

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Australian recognised trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter)
  • At least 4 years of experience
  • Preferably with experience in the marine industry, though relevant experience from other sectors will also be considered.
  • Must have CSE, Working at Heights, and Fire Sentry tickets
  • Proven experience in mechanical fitting, repairs, and overhauls of marine equipment and systems
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to perform corrective repairs
  • Ability to perform precise measurement, calibration, and documentation of mechanical dimensions
  • High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to meet strict project deadlines in both workshop and site environments
  • Inductions - Will need to complete the company's inductions if successful
