Our commitment to natural ingredients and traditional baking methods, including long fermentation, sets us apart. We believe in the science behind our ingredients, ensuring that every product not only tastes exceptional, but also is beneficial to a healthy lifestyle. As we use only natural ingredients (no premixes) and smaller flour mills, you will need to demonstrate an interest in the artisan approach, which involves handcrafting doughs and a desire to help create products that are designed to enhance good health.

You will enjoy a good work/lifestyle balance; shifts are usually 8 hours long, between 6 am and 6 pm, with Saturday or Sunday work determined by a rotating roster.

We are seeking a passionate Pastry Cook and/or Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate is dedicated to the craft of pastry-making, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a keen eye for detail. Whether you're an experienced professional or an up-and-coming pastry enthusiast, we value creativity, consistency, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, tarts, and cookies according to established recipes and standards.

• Ensure all products meet quality, taste, and presentation expectations.

• Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and minimizing wastage.

• Assist in pastry production, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the pastry and savoury selection.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and food-safe pastry/bakery environment.

• Work efficiently as part of a team, collaborating with other pastry/bakers staff to meet production deadlines.

• Adapt to high-demand periods and adjust production accordingly.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Pastry Cook (preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate).

• Knowledge of pastry techniques, dough handling, and baking processes.

• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.

• Strong attention to detail and consistency in production.

• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards in Australia.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.

• A team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
