Pastry Chef | Casual Role (Sunday–Tuesday, 18–20 hours)

Location: South Brisbane

Cordelia Sourdough Bakehouse is seeking a Pastry Chef to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in pastry preparation who enjoys working with high-quality ingredients and traditional methods — in a supportive, creative environment.

About the Role

You'll work closely with our Head Pastry Chef, assisting with daily pastry production and preparation, including creams, fillings, and other components used across our range of products.

This role would suit someone who:

  • Has experience in pastry or baking (even at a junior or commis level).
  • Is reliable, organised, and eager to learn and grow.
  • Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their work.
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment and values teamwork.

Hours & Pay

  • Casual position: Sunday to Tuesday, approximately 18–20 hours per week.
  • Start time: 5:30–6:00 am | Finish: around 12:00–12:30 pm.
  • Additional hours may be available for the right candidate who demonstrates skill, reliability, and initiative.
  • Paid above award rates + superannuation + weekend/public holiday penalties.
