About the opportunity

The Victorian Government is upgrading the Eastern Freeway with new express lanes, new traffic management technology and Melbourne's first dedicated busway. These changes will slash travel times and improve public transport in Melbourne's east.

Laing O'Rourke is part of the Eastern Freeway - Burke to Tram Alliance with Major Road Projects Victoria, Symal, Arcadis and WSP. Our scope of work includes a new interchange connecting the Eastern Freeway to the North East Link tunnels, major road and bridge upgrades between Burke Road and Tram Road, smart traffic management technology upgrades and new noise protection to meet Victoria's toughest traffic noise standards. The local community will also benefit from new and upgraded walking and cycling connections, upgrades to Koonung Creek Reserve and revitalised wetlands and open spaces.

About the role

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced
Structures Supervisor
to join our team on the Eastern Freeway - Burke to Tram Alliance project. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of Melbourne's major infrastructure developments, contributing to the successful delivery of critical civil works in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Run daily pre-start meetings effectively
• Manage and track project programs in compliance with technical specifications and project standards
• Monitor and manage the daily activities of subcontract package
• Organise all construction activities in alignment with construction schedules to ensure works are on time and within budget
• Demonstrate commitment to Safety, OH&S requirements and risks
• Create positive relationships with all stakeholders

About you

• Previous construction delivery experience in the construction/infrastructure industry
• A collaborative style of leadership and effective communication both written and oral
• Have excellent client interface, coordination, time management and safety leadership skills
• Ability to work within a large team demonstrating our project values
• You have a focus on developing a great culture within your team and the wider project
