Senior Planner Scheduler

Our projects business unit is proven in multi-disciplinary project delivery, with capabilities for delivering Brownfields and Greenfield CAPEX or OPEX work packages. We have a proven track record of successfully completing a high volume of project packages for our Blue Chip mining client base. From design through to completion and handover, we are able to supply, maintain and manage all aspects of projects works including, remedial works, capital works and expansion projects.

Due to a recent, flagship Electrical project award, we are seeking Senior Planner Schedulers to join a long-term, large-scale project on a FIFO roster. Based in the Karratha region, on the northwest coast of WA, this project involves significant electrical, instrumentation and control system upgrades, conveyor drive station upgrades and other infrastructure upgrades. This presents an opportunity to be based on this milestone project for its duration, commencing in June 2025 and scheduled for completion in August 2026, with further worked offered thereafter on alternate projects.

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking Senior Planner Schedulers to join our existing team on a FIFO 8:6 roster. As Planner/Schedulers, you will be responsible for:

• Working with Project Managers and Coordinators to develop and maintain detailed resource loaded level 4/5 project schedule
• Developing and maintaining summary level schedules
• Gathering and analysing information to prepare reports on the progress of project
• Supporting the project management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects, including curves, dashboards and daily/weekly/monthly reports
• Tracking of schedule delays and support of schedule related and extension of time claims
• Troubleshooting and monitoring potential scheduling issues
• Facilitating and participating in weekly schedule reviews
• Training of Supervisors, Superintendents & Project Manager to learn, or increase skills in, project scheduling company wide

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Degree or equivalent experience combination in project management and/or engineering is highly desirable
• Minimum of 5 years project experience
• Experience using Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Excel is essential.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and writing skills, including understanding of functional and technical specifications
• Demonstrated facilitation skills, including the ability to motivate and influence others, build effective interpersonal relationships
• Able to foster and contribute to a positive and productive team environment
• Creative and innovative with assignments
• Able to embrace and participate in change initiatives
• A current Australian Drivers Licence
