Epson Australia, a leader in the printer and imaging market, is seeking an Accountant to join its Finance team as a permanent employee at Head Office in North Sydney.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee fixed assets, maintaining registers, asset acquisition/disposals and forecasting capex
  • Various reports to our parent company
  • Monitor cash flows, bank accounts, Credit card, maintain forex accounts, and perform bank account clearing and reconciliation.
  • Overseeing tax compliance – Income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax etc.
  • Month-end close, process transactions and reconcile GL accounts - accruals, rebates, warranty, stock leases
  • Sundry reporting such as PTRS and ABS.
  • Assist with Stock control, including stock-takes
  • Other ad hoc duties as needed.

This role would ideally suit someone who has

  • Degree qualified in Accounting / Business
  • 2-3 years' experience in a chartered accounting firm with exposure to tax compliance (BAS, FBT, income tax) and statutory reporting.
  • Solid accounting, analytical and reconciliation skills,
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards, and preparation of financial statements
  • Proactive attitude and flexibility to support a range of financial tasks from payable to core accounting.
  • Experienced in using ERP systems (preferably SAP) with advanced Excel skills
  • A good team player, both within the Finance team & broadly with the wider company
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail, process-driven and able to work to deadlines
  • Committed to delivering excellent customer service
