Position Summary

The Tax Accountant will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to our clients. This position involves preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Australian accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional accounting and tax-related services and running webinars to educate and engage clients.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills.
