About the Role:

Specific duties  at Glenala State High School

  • Support Students to become more engaged with the culture of Glenala State High School through the creation and delivery of events, clubs and lunchtime activities
  • Oversee and lead the delivery of school-based support programs for identified students
  • Provide a supportive case-management relationship with identified students
  • Provide de-escalation, restorative practices and support for students when required
  • Oversee and lead the delivery of student wellbeing programs in collaboration with external providers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support student wellbeing by working with the school, families, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and address attendance issues to improve student engagement.
  • Assist students facing challenges at school or home to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships between the school and families to encourage consistent attendance.
  • Develop and implement programs to enhance social skills, self-esteem, and confidence.
