About the role

As Mushroom Farm Operations Leader at Golden Oak Produce, you will play a key role in overseeing the efficient and profitable operation of our mushroom cultivation facility in Upper Barron, Queensland. This full-time position will see you leading a small team to ensure the consistent production and delivery of high-quality mushrooms to our customers across the region.

What you'll be doing

  1. Coordinate the daily activities of the mushroom production team to meet yield, quality and efficiency targets
  2. Oversee the entire mushroom cultivation process from spawn preparation, harvesting, packing, delivery and sales.
  3. Manage inventory, equipment maintenance and infrastructure to optimise operations
  4. Lead and motivate the harvesting team, providing performance management, implement and monitor adherence to food safety and workplace health and safety protocols
  5. Manage customer relationships and sales channels to deliver outstanding customer service
