Jasco Holdings Ltd is a dynamic and rapidly growing wholesale and retail business that specialises in wholesaling and retailing in Art and Craft Industry (ANZ). We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our technology team and drive the strategic use of technology to enhance our business operations.
Position Overview
We are looking for a hand's on highly skilled and motivated IT Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing IT functions within a wholesale and retail environment. The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, cyber security, ERP applications (Major Focus) and project management. This is a hands-on role.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Leadership:
- Develop and implement the company's technology strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, ensuring efficient and effective operation of all IT systems and business operations.
- Participating in the design of system and application architectures on the basis of cost, functionality and practicality.
- Preparing high-quality business and technical documentation.
- Understanding of ERP systems and maintaining integrations and relevant customisations.
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure including ERP systems.
- Manage hardware and software procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compatibility with business needs.
- Working with senior executive team members to provide guidance and solutions relating to IT tasks which are commercially favourable.
Network Security:
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the company's data and systems.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information.
System Maintenance and Upgrades:
- Coordinate regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and repeat occurrences
Vendor Management:
- Evaluate and manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective and reliable services.
Data Management:
- Oversee data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical business information.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards.
Team Management
- Mentor IT staff to build a high-performing and motivated team.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Experience in managing Phased projects for application implementations and upgrades.
- Get hands on with the IT team.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an IT management (4+ Years) and senior support role with level 2/3 technical rigour and understanding.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in IT management, preferably in a wholesale and retail setting.
- Experience with ERP Applications: implementation, upgrades and ongoing management. EPICOR preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity principles, e.g. SQL/SSRS Reporting etc.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute IT strategies that align with business objectives.
