Are you an experienced leader in wet fire systems, passionate about safety, quality, and driving results? We're looking for a Mechanical Service Supervisor to take charge of our wet fire service operations – from call-outs and repairs to upgrades of fire suppression systems, hydrants, hose reels, and fire pumps.
In this hands-on leadership role, you'll manage a skilled team of technicians and subcontractors, ensure compliance with Australian Standards, and deliver outstanding service to our clients.
What You'll Do
As our Mechanical Service Supervisor, you will:
- Lead & Inspire – Manage, coach, and develop a team of wet fire technicians and subcontractors.
- Drive Service Excellence – Oversee call-outs, repairs, and upgrades, ensuring quality workmanship and on-time delivery.
- Be the Expert – Provide technical guidance on fault diagnosis, compliance, and complex repairs.
- Partner with Clients – Build strong relationships, attend site meetings, and handle escalations with professionalism.
- Keep Things Running Smoothly – Collaborate with quoting, scheduling, and admin teams to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
- Improve & Innovate – Analyse service data, streamline workflows, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Champion Safety & Compliance – Lead by example in WHS practices and ensure all works meet Australian Standards.
What We're Looking For
- Cert III (or higher) in Fire Protection (Wet Systems) or equivalent trade qualification
- Licensed sprinkler fitter OR extensive wet fire service experience
- 5+ years' experience in wet fire systems, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Solid knowledge of AS 1851, AS 2118, AS 2419, and other wet fire standards
- Strong technical knowledge of sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, and pump systems
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Proficiency with service management software (e.g., Uptick)
- Australian work rights are required for this position
- Availability for emergency call-outs on an occasional basis outside business hours
