Wyndham Youth Aboriginal Corporation (WYAC) is looking Case Workers for their new Night Space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide case management support including assessment, basic counselling, planning, and referral.
  • Monitor and supervise children and young people at the Night Safe Space throughout the night.
  • Transport children and young people to their safe space (home, family, or appropriate placement) if and when required.
  • Build positive relationships with children, young people, and families.
  • Support cultural and community connections for people accessing the service.
  • Assist in crisis response and de-escalation when required.
  • Document case notes, incidents, and referrals accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with the Coordinator and wider WYAC services.

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in youth work, social work, community services, or similar.
  • Experience supporting children, youth, or vulnerable families.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and cultural safety.
  • Working with Vulnerable People Check (Police Clearance), Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Current driver's license (mandatory for safe transport duties).
  • Ability to work overnight shifts (10pm–6am).
