The Opportunity

A rare opportunity exists to contribute to Australia's campaign for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council (2029–

Working within a collaborative, high-profile team, you'll help deliver the campaign's communications strategy, supporting Australia's engagement with the United Nations, international partners, and the diplomatic network.

The Role

As Communications Support Officer, you will:

  • Create high-quality written, visual, and digital content aligned with campaign messaging.
  • Lead the design and production of branded materials, including digital assets and merchandise.
  • Coordinate campaign events and launches, ensuring consistency across communications and branding.
  • Manage procurement and contracts for design and merchandise services in accordance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective, consistent communication.

About You

We're seeking a motivated communications professional with:

  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in graphic design (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Background in strategic communications, public diplomacy, or media.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes under limited direction.
  • Experience in procurement or contract management for creative services or merchandise.
  • A collaborative mindset and sound judgement when managing sensitive information.
