The Communications Officer supports the development and implementation of internal and external communications strategies promoting the KONGSBERG brand, values, initiatives, campaigns and achievements. This role involves writing, editing, and content creation, managing social media, and supporting the company's communications efforts.

This includes:

  • Drafting and editing communication material for Kongsberg Defence Australia website, social media, and other communication channels. Ensuring consistent messaging and brand alignment across all platform.

  • Collaborating with internal teams to gather stories, and information for content creation across various media channels.

  • Supporting Kongsberg Defence Australia media engagements, including press releases, statements, and interviews coordination.

  • Managing the Kongsberg Defence Australia LinkedIn social media account.

  • Developing content calendars, scheduled posts, and monitoring engagement and performance analytics.

  • Assisting with preparing internal newsletters, announcements, updates and other communication initiatives to ensure staff are well-informed.

  • Contributing to the planning and promotion of trade shows, marketing and public events

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or related field.

  • 3 years of experience in a communications, media, or public relations role.

  • Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR).

  • Must be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
