Firbank Grammar is seeking a passionate and innovativeeLearning Coordinator to lead training, provide support and conduct professional learning initiatives in relation to eLearning at Firbank, across our three campuses (based at our Senior School in Brighton). A key responsibility of this exciting opportunity is to proactively and effectively manage and enhance our Learning and Information Platform (Schoolbox).
We welcome applications from both teaching and non-teaching professionals; however, a strong understanding of teaching practices and the school curriculum is essential for this role.
This is a part-time FTE, depending on whether a teaching load is also included), fixed-term role commencing in Term 1, January 2026 and concluding at the end of the 2027 school year.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and enhance the school's Learning Management System (Schoolbox).
- Provide engaging training and support to staff and students in digital technologies.
- Design and deliver IT induction programs for new staff.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend innovative digital tools and learning technologies.
- Support and implement ICT policies and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Oversee and maintain software systems, including the configuration management database.
- Collaborate with IT to deliver the BYOD and school-managed device program.
- Plan and deliver professional learning programs for staff in digital technologies.
- Promote awareness of cybersecurity, data privacy, and digital citizenship.
- Share knowledge and insights through contributions to school publications.
- Coordinate and support eLearning projects to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
- Contribute to curriculum development, school policies, and marketing initiatives related to digital learning.
Key Attributes
- Strong knowledge of current and emerging digital technologies in education.
- Experience in delivering training and professional development for teachers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of ICT policies, cybersecurity, and data privacy in schools.
- A passion for innovation and improving learning outcomes through digital solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current VIT registration and appropriate teaching qualification (desirable). Those with past teaching experience will also be considered.
- Project Management capabilities.
- Experience in a similar role.
- First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain).
