Due to the award of a new project we are seeking to hire 2 new personnel to the join us, as Trades Assistants (Workshop) supporting our Maintenance team in the Goldfields.

We are open to hearing from personnel who wish to join us a  TA and who may seek in 12 months time to move into a HD Apprenticeship in the future within our business.

Role details:

  • 2/1 Roster – Perth Point of Hire
  • 1 week Day/1 week Night Shift
  • $125,500 annual salary plus superannuation (on all hours)
  • Get paid every week regardless of if you are rostered on or on R & R
  • Permanent opportunity & fully paid annual leave & sick pay

Duties & Responsibilities:

Our Trades Assistant will be responsible for supporting the day to day activities of the busy Workshop team of Fitters, Auto Electricians, Boilermakers & Service personnel.

  • Assisting with all daily activities required by the entire workshop team
  • Greasing trucks & trailers
  • Refueling Prime Movers & Plant across the sites
  • Assisting with site deliveries & dispensing stock utilizing a Forklift
  • General housekeeping around the workshop & site administration offices
  • Following workplace WHS procedures

Personal experience:

  • Prior experience in TA duties in a workshop environment
  • Effective communication skills with a helpful approach
  • Current Forklift license (with HRWL) essential
  • Current HR License (essential)

To be considered for this role, successful applicants will possess/provide:

  • 2+ years in a similar role in a mining or construction environment
  • Safety focused
  • Great communicator who enjoys working solo and as part of a happy team
  • Teamwork & respectfulness as a top priority
  • National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one (less than 12 months old)
  • Must hold PR or Citizenship with full Australian working rights
