About The Role:
We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our Migration team on a full-time basis.
The Mullins Migration team is highly organised, with established processes, procedures, and checklists to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality work.
The team advises both organisations and individuals on navigating Australia's migration system. They focus on making pathways to live and work in Australia clear and achievable for their clients, from helping businesses secure visas for talented and diverse workforces to supporting families to reunite and realise their personal goals.
They also collaborate closely with other Mullins practice groups to provide integrated, industry-specific migration solutions.
As a Legal Assistant, your responsibilities will consist of all usual legal assistant duties including:
- Assist in the preparation of visa application checklists and drafting related procedural client emails for our migration practitioners to review and action
- Assist our migration practitioners in drafting online application forms
- Assist in the preparation of other related visa application documents
- General secretarial tasks such as diary management and arranging appointments
- General support in liaising with clients and government bodies
- File management and billing
- Observing strict deadlines and work with shifting priorities
- General administration duties, and be able to prioritise workflow
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

Essential Skills:
- At least twelve months of experience as a Legal Assistant/Secretary
- An accurate typing speed of at least 65wpm
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to prioritise a large workload with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and ability to demonstrate initiative
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with use and navigation of ImmiAccount and LEGENDcom
- Actionstep, iManage Work and Lawdocs
