We're looking for an experienced
Engineering Tech Lead
to join a high-performing product engineering team on a contract basis. You'll play a key role in leading delivery of complex features, guiding engineers technically, and ensuring the quality and scalability of solutions across a modern
Angular + .NET
stack.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading a cross-functional squad of software engineers, mentoring and coaching them in best practices.
  • Driving technical design and architecture discussions across frontend and backend.
  • Hands-on coding in
    Angular
    (TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx) and
    .NET Core
    (C#, Web API, Entity Framework).
  • Ensuring clean, scalable, and maintainable code is delivered through code reviews and pair programming.
  • Partnering with product and delivery managers to plan, prioritise, and deliver business-critical features.
  • Advocating engineering excellence, DevOps maturity, CI/CD, and cloud-first approaches.

What we're looking for

  • Strong experience leading software engineering teams (Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, or similar).
  • Hands-on expertise in
    Angular (v12+)
    and
    .NET Core/ASP.NET
    .
  • Solid knowledge of
    TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
    , and responsive UI design.
  • Backend experience with
    C#, REST APIs, SQL
    , and ORM frameworks.
  • Familiarity with
    cloud environments (AWS or Azure)
    and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong grasp of software engineering principles: SOLID, clean code, testing, performance optimisation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across product, design, and business teams.
