The Company

OCS Building Maintenance t/as Midcity Group has provided expert building repairs on residential and commercial properties to the insurance industry for over 35 years.

Midcity Group specialises in providing reporting and investigation services to assist our clients in determining the extent of their liability on an insurance claim. We deliver construction capabilities of approved claims through construction and reinstatement works.   Our business operates within strict KPI measurements to meet client expectations and is supported by a sophisticated job management system.

The Role

Our Construction Supervisors / Estimators are required to possess a high level of skill in trade and building management, safety systems and communication skills.

We are seeking a dynamic individual who comes with strong building experience to join our Sydney team and be at the forefront of our construction team.

This opportunity involves project management of a portfolio of jobs in construction. This includes managing trades to achieve a timely repair cycle to both residential and commercial properties. Ongoing supervision including responsibilities of quality, cost, and timeframes to a high standard and within KPI measurements.

The successful candidate will be working closely with our clients, customers, suppliers and sub-contractors alike to ensure a positive and quality outcome on each job.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assess various types of building damage with a keen eye for detail.
  • Meet/liaise with stakeholders to confirm repair process and timeframes
  • Manage procurement including trades/materials on each job.
  • Ensure jobs are managed to time; quality and budget targets
  • Deliver excellent Customer Service & technical expertise as required to all stakeholders
  • Support and consult with administration services throughout the claim and repair process

Key Selection Criteria

  • Positive and confident attitude with high focus on customer service
  • Competent computer skills across mobile devices, repair management systems and an ability to rapidly learn new systems
  • Courteous, respectful and empathetic
  • Able to perform within strict KPI guidelines with a sense of urgency
  • Qualified with a Construction or Trade Certification.
  • Excellent costing and quotation expertise supported by strong computer skills (Training Provided);
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills
  • Commitment to and familiar with OHS legislation and regulations;
  • Valid motor vehicle license.
