About the role
Oreco Group is seeking an experienced Transport & Logistics Manager to join our team in Childers, Queensland. This full-time role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics operations of our growing manufacturing business, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of our products to customers.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and implementing strategic logistics plans to support business objectives
- Managing a team of logistics coordinators and drivers to ensure on-time and cost-effective product deliveries
- Monitoring and optimising transportation routes and vehicle utilisation
- Negotiating contracts with third-party logistics providers and carriers
- Identifying opportunities to improve logistics processes and implement new technologies
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant transport regulations and safety standards
- Reporting on key logistics performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a transport and logistics management role, ideally within the manufacturing industry
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful logistics strategies
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in using logistics management software and data analysis tools
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
