Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain systems that allow easy identification of existing public utility plant in state-controlled road corridors and future corridors including those installations that have been conditioned by the department

• Assess applications, condition and prepare approvals for the installation of public utility plant in state-controlled road corridors and future state-controlled road corridors. Apply due knowledge of future road corridor planning, future infrastructure extension and maintenance while complying with legislative requirements and timelines, TMR policy and processes.

• Contribute to the preparation of offers for the PUP relocation components of all District planning and design projects

• Develop networking relationships and maintain appropriate liaison and communication with public utility plant service providers and other stakeholders, including operationalising Memoranda of Understanding arrangements

• Prepare reports and other written documents that relate to service locations requiring analysis of issues and options, make recommendations, and respond to general enquiries and correspondence

• Assist with access works, ancillary encroachments and development control functions to ensure that the impacts of proposed developments on road transport infrastructure controlled by Department of Transport and Main Roads are assessed within legislative timelines, and that conditions of approval to ameliorate these impacts are established and monitored

Mandatory Qualifications and Conditions:

• The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks including criminal history screening, and complete a serious discipline history declaration

• A current Class 'C' Drivers Licence

Desirable:

• Relevant industry or roads infrastructure qualifications and/or experience will be highly regarded

Requirements of the Role:

Analyses data and trends to identify risks to project activities and empowers others to incorporate risk management into planning; Works with the team to evaluate options and develop appropriate plans to mitigate risks.
