We are seeking experienced Prescriberto join our network as independent contractor. This role provides flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to collaborate with our highly skilled Nurse Injectors across our national clinic network.

Our Opportunity

As a Prescribing Practitioner, you will provide remote and in-person prescribing services to support our Nurse Injectors in delivering cosmetic medical treatments. You will ensure safe and compliant prescribing practices in line with relevant protocols and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prescribing medicines and drugs (including Schedule 4 medications) in line with treatment requirements.
  • Reviewing and approving treatment plans proposed by Nurse Injectors.
  • Conducting electronic consultations and directly engaging with patients to ensure informed consent and treatment understanding.
  • Prescribing and supporting the management of complications (e.g., antibiotics, prednisone, Hyalase) in line with clinical protocols.
  • Ensuring patients have consulted with a medical practitioner, where required, prior to prescription and treatment.
  • Accurately documenting consultations, prescriptions, and approvals in patient records.
  • Providing prescribing services for:
  • Anti-wrinkle injections
  • Dermal fillers
  • Cosmetic injectables

This is a flexible contractor engagement, where you nominate your availability. MediAesthetics will coordinate patient bookings during those times, and you will only be required to attend (virtually or in-person) for scheduled appointments.

About You

You are a qualified medical professional with strong clinical decision-making skills, and a passion for patient safety and quality care in aesthetics.

Essential qualifications & experience:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Authority to prescribe Schedule 4 medications in Australia.
  • Experience in prescribing for cosmetic medicine, aesthetic medicine, or general practice.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to consult and educate patients effectively.
  • Commitment to compliance, safety, and professional standards.

Desirable:

Prior experience working with Nurse Injectors.

Familiarity with electronic prescribing platforms and telehealth.
