Role Description

The Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and pre-sales support to Redgate's customers, partners, and Account Executives across the APAC region. The role focuses on understanding customer challenges, demonstrating how Redgate's solutions solve them, and ensuring a smooth and successful adoption journey.

This includes conducting discovery sessions, running tailored product demonstrations, delivering technical presentations, and supporting proof-of-concept engagements. The Senior Solutions Engineer acts as a trusted advisor, representing Redgate's solutions and best practices while contributing to customer success and regional revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales opportunities by providing deep technical insight and clear solution recommendations.
  • Translate complex customer requirements into tailored Redgate solution proposals.
  • Deliver engaging technical presentations and live product demonstrations to a variety of audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives to drive revenue growth and customer success.
  • Encourage and communicate adoption of industry best practices across DevOps and database management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and referenceable success stories.
  • Stay current with Redgate's product portfolio, competitor landscape, and market trends.
  • Participate in events, webinars, and partner initiatives to promote Redgate's solutions.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product Management on feature requests and customer insights.
  • Support internal enablement through technical training for regional sales teams.
  • Travel as required to meet customers and partners across the APAC region and occasionally other Redgate offices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or equivalent technical customer-facing role in a high-tech environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development, DevOps, or database lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with relational database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Awareness of modern application lifecycle management, CI/CD pipelines, and IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, both in person and virtually.
  • Commercially astute, customer-centric, and able to align technical solutions with business value.
  • Proactive self-starter who thrives both independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Public speaking experience (e.g., conferences, webinars, workshops) is desirable.
  • Genuine passion for technology, learning, and helping customers succeed.
