Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of the Victorian court system and is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria. It has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 locations, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
Join a dynamic team developing analytical models, dashboards, and insights that influence how the Court allocates resources and plans for future demand. You will play a key role in the Court's digital transformation and automation strategy.
The Senior Data Infrastructure and Reporting Analyst, you will work collaboratively across MCV divisions to support evidence-based decision making. This includes the development of models and other analysis for use in business cases, as well as conducting research and supporting evaluation activities to assist ongoing business decisions and analytical capability.
As part of an ongoing effort to improve the veracity and availability of data, the role will also support the Senior Manager, Data Infrastructure and Analysis to enhance data governance and transparency throughout the organisation by generating, reviewing, and disseminating relevant documentation.
The Performance and Reporting team also supports MCV's automation strategy by developing automated solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform. The role will be required to support this agenda through the develop of automated solutions and/or supporting documentation.

About you
You are a detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong technical skills in data analysis, reporting, and automation. You excel in using Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, and Power Automate, and are confident in writing SQL queries to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. You also bring:
• Experience developing dashboards and automation solutions
• Ability to conduct research and statistical analysis
• Strong communication skills, including preparing presentations for senior stakeholders
• A degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
