Aurizon is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Contracts and Systems Coordinator to join our Brisbane based Coal Customers team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a customer focused, commercially driven environment and is passionate about delivering operational excellence.

About the role:

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting Aurizon's commercial success and customer partnerships - driving contract excellence, enabling high quality customer submissions and supporting the Coal Customers team with critical administrative and operational functions.

Your work will directly influence the strength of our customer relationships, the efficiency of our commercial processes and the delivery of strategic outcomes.

You will:

  • Lead contract governance management activities, maintaining contracts and governance systems, databases, and documentation to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Support customer proposal and tender processes, coordinating documentation and compliance to help deliver compelling, timely submissions.
  • Monitor and maintain document integrity, ensuring alignment with internal quality standards and timely access for stakeholders.
  • Deliver expert analytical support, including forecasting, reporting, and performance insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across contract management systems, evaluating risks and recommending effective solutions.
  • Engage with Executives and Senior Business Leaders, facilitating efficient contract operations and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Promote best practice document control, ensuring consistency and compliance across teams.
  • Provide proactive administrative and operational support to the Coal Customers team, enabling seamless execution of commercial activities through data analysis, document management, and team coordination.

About you:

You're a detail oriented and results driven professional who thrives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. You bring:

  • Proven experience in contracts administration, with a strong understanding of governance and compliance.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (preferred).
  • Advanced skills in document control and record keeping, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Strong technical capability in using database applications and digital tools to manage, extract, and analyse data.
  • Advanced Office 365 skills, focused on Sharepoint, Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and coordinating written tender submissions and customer communications.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver insights and value adding recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills across all levels of the business.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to deliver strategic initiatives and drive results.
  • A collaborative mindset, balanced with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
  • Solid experience in team administration, including coordination, scheduling, and workflow support.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage sensitive matters under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
