Your Team

Hollard's Regulatory Affairs Team is the strategic interface between Hollard and Australian regulators. We have three core focus areas:

  • Regulatory Engagement
    : Primary relationship owner for all regulatory interactions - building trust and managing strategic dialogue with APRA, ASIC, AFCA, CGC and other authorities
  • Regulatory Change
    : Horizon scanning, impact assessment and implementation oversight for all regulatory developments affecting general insurance
  • Regulatory Correspondence
    : Managing all inbound and outbound regulatory communications, ensuring timely and effective responses

Your Role

Reporting to the Head of Group Governance within the Governance, Legal, Risk & Compliance function, you may work in one, or a combination of the functions listed under 'Your Team' above.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop relationships with key regulatory stakeholders at APRA, ASIC and industry bodies
  • Development and lead regulatory engagement strategy, positioning Hollard as a trusted, proactive partner
  • Maintain radar on regulatory developments, providing early warnings and strategic insights
  • Partner with business units to embed regulatory requirements into BAU operations
  • Prepare and contribute to briefs for executives and Board on regulatory landscape, opportunities and strategic positioning
  • Build internal capability through regulatory awareness and education programs

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory affairs, compliance or related roles in financial services
  • Proven experience in managing regulator relationships and complex engagements
  • Strong understanding of APRA prudential standards, general Insurance Code of Practice and ASIC regulatory framework
  • Must have experience in leading teams and strong collaborator who can build trust across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in risk assessment methodologies and frameworks.
  • Legal, compliance or risk management qualifications is highly preferred.
