Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager - Counsel, Legal Compliance
In this role, you will act as a counsel supporting Genpact Australia's business providing professional services for clients in the financial and insurance sectors.
Responsibilities
· Provide guidance on matters of Australian law to Genpact corporate teams such as human resources
· Manage Genpact's compliance with the terms of its credit license(s) and appointed representative agreement(s) with support from operating and risk teams
· Guide contracting lawyers on issues of Australian law that arise in our professional service agreements
· Collaborate with the global Privacy Office to ensure compliance with Australian laws in the area of privacy
· Attend to miscellaneous legal matters including corporate secretarial matters and issues related to office premise leases
· Contribute to process improvement, knowledge sharing, training, and other department initiatives as required
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
· Admission to legal practice
· Flexibility to reasonably accommodate meetings in other time zones
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
· A mix of law firm and in-house experience
· Prior experience with the maintaining an Australia credit license and complying with ASIC requirements
· Prior experience in a multinational company or representing multinational clients on a wide variety of subjects
· Enthusiasm for technology and improving ways of working through workflows, automation, and adoption of technology
